MADrid
finally!!!! this is the 4th try in getting these photos loaded i'm writing the entry while i figure out how i want ot display them above ...ok, first go grab your Java or whatever you want to drink i took 110 photos and they're all loaded here at my last resort for trying to get the photos downloaded via aol journal here, i selected all of them..sit, relax and enjoy
now a note, it's 12:30am tuesday morn not the hour i had planned on bringing them to you so if i don't make any sense in the following, you know why...lol
MADrid was an old mining town they stopped mining in 1962 i believe i read the sign (included in a photo here) today the town is full of artists or some say it's a hippie town anyways, the town is FULL of color i took loads of photos of the houses/stores as you can see each is a different color everything is art here they make everything into art, including the mail boxes (those included too) i took photos of some of the art work for sale even some of the flowers which i hadn't seen before and fit right into the art flair of the town the art i took pics of is only on the outside of the stores there's tons more artwork inside the shops...then i went to the museum where you'll see the old train, old gas station, fire truck, bulldozer and other stuff including the Executive Lounge(out house) actually the only public restrooms in this town are the Las Portables out houses i did notice they have built an out house like those in the national parks, but it isn't open quite yet it's a artistic, rustic place rustic is my kind of place my Java Junction is the most rustic place and that's probably why i like it so much anyways, i hope you enjoy the photos i'll post them one at a time in the future (not all of them..lol) so you can see them enlarged...right now, it's bedtime IF i can sleep drank coffee late so i could stay for the entire ballgame it's been a great day i'll be back soon...
sneak peak!
SHE KNOWS BEST!!!
so, i just talked to my therapist about school, church class and the Grand Canyon she agreed with me that going to CNM and taking the church class wood be too much for me so i have to give one up at the moment so i'm going with my gut which is to take the church class so maybe in January i'll start CNM, but i'm not giving up on it i will get it done.....
in the meantime, i'm rethinking Jesse's bicycle can't find the tires i need for it and plus i think i need to buy a real mountain bike with the flexible suspensions on the front wheels for off road there are some trails in the foothills that i hike but also many people ride their mtn bikes on i really want to do those trails...so one more phone call on tires before the final decision right now i'm off for the day still not sure i'll make it to MADrid today will see about noon time today, the time i'll be finished with errands...until laterz, have a great one

Bored!!!
well, can you tell i've been a little bored today....lol i added a few items in ALL ABOUT ME section, plus i changed the background color again the blue went better with the things i posted the photos of the other people are my son Kyle (Army) and Jorje my daughter with her husband Mark for those who don't know they're technically my nephew and niece, but i adopted them as my own for various reasons so when i talk about my son and daughter you now have photos to associate them with....
anyways, i took a nap guess i needed that one today then i went and checked out Jesse's mountain bike for sale for the price he wants plus the tires/tubes i need to buy for it, it's the same price as a new one at Wally World but i've told Jesse that i'd buy his bike from him already i'll help out a friend plus for the riding i'll probably do, his bike is ideal plus i like the color it's a peach color he's going to put the new tires/tubes on for me plus work on the rear brake cable it needs adjusting but it's a good bike and riding it today, i felt like i was learning ALL over again even when i got Stephen's out recently, goodness i thought i was going to wreck on it....lol that's what i get for riding a motorcycle for a few years now a HUGE difference kept wanting to ride with my hands God! i'll be fine i can get on it in a few days will pick the the tires/tubes tomorrow he'll have it ready tuesday i'm sure...so in the meantime, guess it's time to get back to reading my books i've not read a book in a month and usually my nose is always in a book i have plenty of time on my hands right now, so i'll find something Sudoku is ok although it still kicks my butt from time to time now i need another challenge besides hiking the trails and riding my bicycle for my conditioning Life is Good (which by the way, my package from ALL THINGS JEEP finally came back to me..i think i mentioned the p.o. screwed up the delivery of it) got my Life is Good shirt on with a Jeep on it, berry color matches my new bicycle anyways, that's the excitement for now i'll see you soon on this again tomorrow will be hectic IF i make it to MADrid if not tomorrow, i will wednesday or thursday this week for sure a couple errands in the morn, plus finding bicycle parts before MADrid, then hurry back to a Isotopes baseball game tomorrow evening may be too much to squeeze in for one day....new photos soon, i promise!
p.s. the above photo is of a Black-headed Grosbeak i think i named it incorrectly the first time i posted it...and yes i took this photo:-)
photo journal?
so someone inquired to see if i had a journal just for my photos at the moment i don't, but i've been thinking about it recently so what do you think? should i create a journal just for my photos? or just keep posting them here?
in the meantime, think i'll post them bigger like the above photo this photo was taken inside the Carlsbad Caverns a couple years ago...more to come....I DID IT!!!!
this photo was taken at Bosque del Apache, NM this is where the birds migrate for the winter from the north these are snow geese coming in to land for the evening......Alas, it took me a damn while, but i figured out how to get rid of those darn lines on this journal i've been seeing other journals without it and liked it very much this makes it much simpler and not so busy....anyways, i'm happy i found the right button....lol
in the meantime, i'm dieing to go for a motorcycle ride, but i don't have cash til tomorrow i have a money order but no place on sunday to cash it just didn't think i'd need it today o well, that' means i'm off for a road trip tomorrow before another Isotopes baseball game i'm goin' back to MADrid don't know why i didn't think of it before, but i'm going to take photos of THE DINER, from the Wild Hogs movie, as well as the rest of the town can't remember if i did this before or not i know i've taken photos of MADrid before, but not sure i ever posted them here if so, that wood be like 4yrs ago when i still just had a film camera and started this journal anyways, i'm goin' 2 go PLAY!.....so since i can't take off today, i'll go check out that bicycle of Jesse's today's a lazy day for me anyways again Sunday A DAY OF REST!!!!
wow, can you tell i found more buttons i JUST found the background page in changing its color may change it laterz to another color, but will enjoy this one for now...Thanks Robin for your layout image it got me a thinking about all this!
